At the national level, health information technology (HIT), and especially electronic health records (EHRs), have seen a great surge of activity. The Center for Health IT works closely with the AAFP's Government Relations division to monitor governmental activity on health information technology. This section of the Web site exists to inform AAFP members of our activities and to apprise health policy makers of the impact of proposed legislation on member practices and the patients they serve.
